iPint is a Beer Drinking iPhone AppThere are millions of iPhone apps that are out there available for download. Some have a small charge, but many are free. There are iphone apps that help you find where you are going, listen to music, or even cook a chicken with white wine. But now comes an iPhone app that really seems to have no purpose at all. It is a really strange iPhone app, one that is ironically becoming very popular because of its banality. This is, of course, the iPhone app called iPint. While it is indeed easy to use, one wonders why anyone would.Drink an iPint iPhone app. What's the Point? So what does the popular iPhone app iPint actually do? Well, it's simple. You will see a mug of beer on your iPhone screen. Tilt it on its side as if you were drinking it and the beer pours out. That's it. It appears that you are drinking a beer when you use the iPint iPhone app. But of course, you are doing no such thing. You are simply holding your phone up to your lips. You will not taste and beer because no matter how sharp the picture and amazing the video of the beer being drunk; it is still just a picture. You cannot drink a picture. Do the hundreds of thousands who have downloaded this iphone app understand this? Is there any point to this? Apparently many people believe there is.iPint Made by CarlingThe iPint iPhone app was designed by the Carling Brewing Company. Now, Carling makes a fine beer in the U.K. I don't know why they felt they had to expand from their successful operations of making real beer to making imaginary beer for the iPhone app. Yet for some reason they chose to do so. Maybe it is good advertising for them, I don't know. But why someone would download such an app is beyond me. Maybe the first time you show it off to your friends and pretend to be drinking a beer from your iPhone, someone will laugh. But how many times can you do the same routine? Does it get any funnier? There are a great many apps to choose from for your iPhone. This is one you may want to skip unless you have unlimited memory in your iPhone and really get a chuckle from drinking fake beer out of a telephone. |
