Hold On to this iPhone App
How many
iPhone apps are currently available? Can they even count that high? Well, I guess that along with apps that are fascinating and useful have to come ones that are downright dumb and pointless. Of all the iPhone apps that fall into that category, could any thing be dumber than "Hold On?" If there is, we cannot comprehend what it would be like. All I know is that if there was an iPhone app that simulated wet paint drying in real time, it would be much more exciting than "Hold On."
Is "Hold On" an iPhone App or an iPhone Game?
First off, you have to decide whether "Hold on" is an iPhone app or an iPhone game. In theory, an app helps you perform a task. Or an app provides you with entertainment. Or an iPhone app makes your phone look neat. 'Hold On" does none of these things. In fact, it doesn't even come close to proving anything useful or amusing. So it must be an
iPhone game. If it is, then it may be the worst type of game ever invented. The object apparently is to hold onto your iPhone. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? At least it does not cost you anything to download. But that really doesn't make it more fun.
The Rules of 'Hold On"
When you start the iPhone Game "Hold On," you see a red button on the screen. Next to it are the instructions. They read: "Hold the button for as long as you can." Then you press a button marked "Hold" and the clock at the bottom of the screen starts. As you continue to press the button, you can see your record time on the screen. In theory, the object is to hold the button for longer than your record and you can go set a new record. That's it. To play, all you need to do is hold the button. You can hold it for minutes, hours, even days. There is no limit. But there really is no point either. Even if you successfully hold the button down for a week, you will get no special message of congratulations. There are no more levels. All there is is a button and your thumb. Sounds like a real party, right? What will someone think of next?
